The Dalai Lama

I had a vision of the Dalai Lama,

Floating in a sea of sand.

He said he partied with the Buddha and Jesus,

And then he took my hand.

-

He said, "Religion is the kitchen of a Holy hothouse,

"Proving we are not the same."

I had a vision and the Dalai Lama said

His mama wished he'd never came.

-

The young Gyatso in a Chinese prison,

Crying for the girl next door.

He said he didn't hate the men who hurt her,

And he don't want no war.

-

On Mount Potala there's a Wallah who is so sublime,

Avalokitashvara.

Tibeten monkey was a bodhisatva,

Dalai Lama's mama's made of stone.

-

One-hundred-thousand people left their homes,

Leaving three-million there, outnumbered.

One-thousand-nine-hundred-fifty-nine years,

After the Son of Man.
